Home away from home. Our traditional farm house is nestled up in the secluded hills. Able to accommodate up to 13, the restored homestead allows for family meals and great private gatherings. All amenities are available giving visitors the opportunity to have their privacy, or join other guests in the dining room and the lodge.

Between Breton Cove and Wreck Cove they say there’s buried treasure. Use your Breton Cove hideaway as a jumping off point for your own great treasure hunt and vacation.

Interior

The Breton Cove Farmhouse is family and pet friendly and can accommodate up to 10 people. It comes with 5 bedrooms, a spacious living room with extended Douglas fir beams and cozy wood stove, a full kitchen and dining room (electric stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishware and utensils) and 2 full baths. There is also a deck off one of the downstairs bedrooms with an outdoor fire pit near by.

Exterior

Trails are leading from the Farmhouse through a meadow and old growth forest to a look-off over the ocean. Altogether, the location is a great jump-off point to the Cape Breton Highlands National Park and the Cabot Trail.

A short drive away at the main lodge of Cabot Shores, you can rent kayaks, canoes, stand up paddle boards, go swimming and more. Explore more trails, have an evening of entertainment and great food at our Bistro, a drink at the bar, or just soak in the scenery. You are always welcome.

House Rules & Cancellations

A 50% deposit ahead of time to hold your requested accommodations. We are also required to charge 15% harmonized sales tax.

Cancellations are required 28 days in advance or initial deposit is retained with the option to apply it to another reservation in the next 12 months. A $50 fee will be charged for cancellations made with 28 days advanced notice. Cancellation on your day of arrival, leaving before reservation has expired or arriving late will result in the entire fee being forfeited. We are not responsible for weather conditions.

We are a pet friendly establishment with a maximum of 3 dogs per accommodation unless special arrangements have been made. The fee is $10 per day, per dog. There is a small selection of accommodations which are not pet friendly for those with allergies.

Please note that smoking is not permitted inside Lodge or accommodations according to Canadian law. There is a $200 room recovery fee for smoking inside any accommodation.

PET POLICY:
There is a maximum of 3 dogs per accommodation unless special arrangements have been made. The fee is $10 per day, per dog.
Pets must be on a leash in the general vicinity of Cabot Shores. Please supervise your dogs at accommodations, campsites or on our trails as all our guests may have varying levels of comfort around dogs. Dogs are not allowed in our Bistro / main room of the lodge.
We would appreciate if guests kept their pets off of furniture and beds.
Please pick up after your dog! Poop bags available at reception.
Pet owners will be held responsible and a recovery fee will be applied if any damage is caused by their pets.
