Located on Paudash Lake in the Haliburton Highlands this beautiful timber frame home situated on a well treed, private, 2 acre lot with 230 feet of waterfront is an ideal place to reconnect with nature and loved ones. With 3800 sq feet of beautiful living space, a large deck on the upper level and a patio on the lower level your family or group can enjoy a memorable vacation. The southern exposure allows you to soak up the sun and experience the clean water and beauty of Paudash Lake.

A spacious, luxuriously decorated, 2 story timber- frame home. On the main level you will find a large bright kitchen with an island and every necessary modern kitchen appliance, the living room with cathedral ceiling and huge south facing windows, and a formal dining room with a table that can seat 8 as well as a breakfast area that can seats 6. The main level also has a bedroom wing with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The big master bedroom comes equipped with a king size bed and en-suite 4 piece bathroom with jacuzzi tub. The other room is a children's bedroom with a double bed . The second 3 piece bathroom has access from the bedroom wing hallway. One French door and the master bedroom sliding door provide access to the main deck. Another sliding door off the dining room opens into the sun-room which doubles as a screened in porch. On the lower level you will find the the family room, 3 bedrooms and one 3 piece
bathroom with a sauna. 2 of the bedrooms have queen sized beds and the 3rd bedroom has a trundle bed and sleeps 2. The large family room is well equipped with 2 sectional corner sofas and an entertainment wall unit that contains the TV, VCR/CD player and a good selection of books and videos. There is an alcove off the family room with a double/single bunk bed and a TV to play video games. From the family room a sliding door opens to the patio equipped with patio furniture and propane BBQ. The deck on the upper level and the patio are facing south and have beautiful views of the lake.


As you exit the family room you find yourself on the beautiful patio that comes equipped with table, umbrella, 6 chairs and a propane BBQ as well as 2 loungers.
Stepping 4 steps down off the patio is a lawn with a picnic table, a fire pit on a huge diamond shaped rock. Three steps up off the patio to the left is another patch of lawn with a swing-set and a sandbox for the smaller children. Stepping down to the lake are 2 decks at different elevations. The first deck with 2 Muskoka type chairs and a wraparound bench affords the best views of the lake and is also a great place to just sit and read. The lakeside deck has a table, chairs, wraparound bench and umbrella with enough sitting room for 8. Stepping of the lakeside deck, you will find a large L-shaped floating dock with 2 ladders providing access to the water. One ladder with access to shallow water at the shore is suitable for smaller children. The dock faces south and is a great place to soak up the sun, fishing, or just relaxing in one of the Muskoka chairs.It is also an easy swim to the floating platform ideal for swimming, diving and sunbathing. On the dock is also a rack with one Canoe and 2 kayaks for your enjoyment. If you plan to bring your own boat, there is a marina across the bay that can look after all your boating needs.

Points of interest Paudash Lake Marina- Located across the lake from the cottage. You can walk , drive, canoe or kayak over. The marina has a boat launch and watercraft rental. There is a store for ice, toiletries, milk, bread, baked goods, eggs, dry and canned goods, movie rental, penny candy and THE BEST KAWARTHA DAIRY ICE CREAM EVER! As well as homemade waffle cones, frozen yogurt and shakes.
The Cardiff General Store- 5 minute drive. Gas, Groceries, LCBO (beer and liquor), sandwiches, baked goods and probably the best homemade cheesebread, awesome for French toast.
Bancroft is a 20 minute drive away for all your shopping needs. No Frills, Shoppers,Tim Hortons, Canadian Tire, Hospital, Bookstore, Gas, gift stores and hardware stores. Many restaurants and internet cafes. Veterinary services, dog food stores and pet boarding.
Paudash Lake is 12 miles long. It has a public beach you can drive or boat to. There are cliffs to jump from and a sandbar accessible by boat only. There is lots of fishing to be had on this lake, even from just off the dock. You can catch large and smallmouth bass, sunfish, perch and rock bass. The lake also has walleye, whitefish and Lake-trout.
Silent lake Provincial Park is only a five minute drive and is great for biking, hiking and cross country skiing.
Algonquin Park is only an hour away to the East Gate Entance. There is an amazing visitor center and logging museum and art gallery. Algonquin has 14 hiking trails. Our favorite is Lookout trail. Definitely worth the trip if you have never been. Eagles Nest Lookout in Bancroft has a spectacular view of the area and the flight path for migrating birds. Petroglyphs Provincial park is a 40 minute drive away. Very cool! It is a sacred place. Aboriginal people laboriously carved into a huge expanse of white marble rock some 900 figures of birds, snakes, turtles, and humans. The carvings are enclosed in light-filled protective building where walkways allow visitors to gaze over the main body of the petroglyphs. There are also 4 hiking trails.
River's Edge Golf Club - Bancroft; Kelly's Berry Farm for wild blueberries- Maynooth. Shopping The Stone Kitchen - Bancroft for homemade jams and jellies made on site. Kitchen gadgets and garden gifts. Westwind Gallery and gifts -Bancroft The Old Tin Shed- Bancroft - one of our favorites for home decor, gifts, garden stuff, cottage knick-knaks and jewelry. Men and women adore this place. The Old Hastings Gallery and the Old School house in Ormsby. All kinds of treats and treasures to explore.
Restaurants: Mirrors Cafe -and Lounge- on Paudash Lake- boat to or drive to. Great for grilled Pickeral and the kids love the waffle fries and poutine. The Craftman restaurant - 5 minute drive- great for breakfast and the beef ribs are yummy. All home cooking and great shakes! The Kawartha Dairy. 10 minute drive towards Bancroft. They have a store with all their products.There is butter-tarts and of course the best ice-cream in the world. Attached is a mini putt golf.

Rental Rates

Saturday to Saturday rental, July and August $4200 per week. For the month of September after Labour Day weekend as well as hunting season in November $400 per night for a minimum of 3 nights or $1200.00. Off season pricing $300 per night for a minimum of 3 nights or $900. Holidays such as Thanksgiving or Christmas $600 per night for a minimum of $1800. 50% deposit required when booking.
The balance due one week prior to rental as well as a damage deposit of $500 payable in cash or certified cheque.
5% discount on two week rentals. Small Dogs Only.
