Whiff’s Lodge is a Cape Breton Island barn-style construction with three levels. Each one offers you an amazing view of the Atlantic Ocean/St Ann’s Bay and the Bird Islands.

Let Whiff’s Lodge become your gathering place for family, friends and team members. It’s a spot that marries the sounds of local and world music with the savory smells of fresh baking and restaurant fare, including local seafood and meats, fresh vegetables, tasty, healthy meals to enjoy alongside local wines, beer and spirits.

Rustic lodge that serves as the focal point of Cabot Shores. Home to our fabulous cuisine and dining room, the lodge also offers a wonderful place for our guests to gather around the fire, play games, peruse our library, enjoy our games room or join in an impromptu jam. The lodge also offers several rooms with ensuites that can accommodate four or more.

Lodge Suite 6 is a two-room suite, with the rooms connected by an adjoining door. Each room has its own outside exit and the room closer to the stairs (6a) has an exit to the hall leading to the common room. These rooms are pet friendly.

House Rules & Cancellations

A 50% deposit ahead of time to hold your requested accommodations. We are also required to charge 15% harmonized sales tax.

Cancellations are required 28 days in advance or initial deposit is retained with the option to apply it to another reservation in the next 12 months. A $50 fee will be charged for cancellations made with 28 days advanced notice. Cancellation on your day of arrival, leaving before reservation has expired or arriving late will result in the entire fee being forfeited. We are not responsible for weather conditions.

We are a pet friendly establishment with a maximum of 3 dogs per accommodation unless special arrangements have been made. The fee is $10 per day, per dog. There is a small selection of accommodations which are not pet friendly for those with allergies.

Please note that smoking is not permitted inside Lodge or accommodations according to Canadian law. There is a $200 room recovery fee for smoking inside any accommodation.

PET POLICY:
There is a maximum of 3 dogs per accommodation unless special arrangements have been made. The fee is $10 per day, per dog.
Pets must be on a leash in the general vicinity of Cabot Shores. Please supervise your dogs at accommodations, campsites or on our trails as all our guests may have varying levels of comfort around dogs. Dogs are not allowed in our Bistro / main room of the lodge.
We would appreciate if guests kept their pets off of furniture and beds.
Please pick up after your dog! Poop bags available at reception.
Pet owners will be held responsible and a recovery fee will be applied if any damage is caused by their pets.
