The Pelican’s Nest is situated on the Trent-Severn Waterway, Lock 27 – Young’s Point, a National Historic Site of Canada. There is often lots going on in this area. An appealing park area and good fishing are found at the locks. One of the favourite activities is just sitting on the deck and watching the numerous yachts and boats pass by. A new rental available in 2015, this bright, clean, freshly decorated cottage has lots to offer.

A short walk along the locks will bring you to the Lockside Trading Company where you can shop for clothing and gifts or just sit back and enjoy a coffee, latte, some sweet treats or ice cream. A short walk up the road will bring you to Young’s Point General Store that includes a small bakery. There are three local restaurants with everything from breakfast to fine dining, all within walking distance.
