This is the quintessential summer cottage circa 1920’s, approximately 1500 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.

There are screened-in sun porches, both roadside and lakeside. A double bed awaits on the roadside porch for those outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy the feeling of sleeping outside without the insects and critters. Newly renovated shoreline offers relaxing lounging at the water’s edge. Feel like a bird’s eye view? Enjoy a glass of wine on top of the brand-new boathouse rooftop patio. Western exposure offers brilliant sunsets nightly. A classic beauty offering a real cottage experience.

Lakeside screened-in porch stretches across entire cottage with view of lake from end to end. One side comfortably seats 8 at the dining table, the other side a cozy sitting area with ample seating, also for 8. Enjoy the sunset while you dine or relax!

Cottage water: from lake – use for washing, bathing, cooking (boiled). Cold drinking water always available in 5 gal. water cooler upon arrival. If you run out you can purchase in Lindsay at several stores with the closest being Value Mart.

Easy access: 3 steps up into cottage, 4 steps down to lake

Dock 32’ x 8’ for lounging, swimming, fishing, boating – water is 6 feet deep at the end of the dock

Waterfront: 83 feet

Play area for children: anywhere and everywhere outside – after all you’re at the cottage! Lots of toys and a great tree swing occupies them for hours. Baseball diamond across the street (2 min walk). Great area for many sports, like soccer, frisbee, tag, football and more.

Very good swimming – 1 foot deep at water’s edge and gradually slopes to 6’ by 30’ out. Continues to deepen as you venture further.

No weeds in the swimming area until 40 feet into lake

Walk-in entry is a combination of sandy, muddy, stony. Water shoes recommended for walking around in lake but not for swimming.

Canoe, paddleboat, large floatables and a 20’ Aqua Lily pad for adults and kids.

Semi private cottage – large trees separating neighbours in many areas along property line

Pleasant Point Church: a non-denominational church with Sunday services through July and August. Services start at 11:00 a.m. with a reminder bell at 10:30. Numerous guest preachers host our residents and guests.
Academy Theatre at 2 Lindsay St. S. offers live theatre, music, comedians. Reservations and performance information (705-324-9111)
Fishing: the cottage dock has had incredible surprises like muskies and large bass but there’s fun to just catch many of the small fish off the dock – or try the Irene Penchin Park dock 3 cottages up.
Boat Rentals: Sturgeon Lake Marina (705-793-1176), Snug Harbour Marina (705-324-6667) have small 9.9 HP motor boats. Buckeye Marina in Bobacaygeon rents full size fiberglass ski/wakeboard runabouts.
Kawartha Spirit: afternoon and evening tours from Bobcaygeon and Fenelon Falls, enjoy drinks, meals, dances and even weddings aboard this 200 person capacity vessel along the shorelines of Sturgeon Lake.
Bobcaygeon: 20 min from Pleasant Point on Hwy 36, or the more scenic beach road via County Road 24. Visit Lock 32, the first lock of the Trent Severn Waterway and witness the oldest swing bridge in action! The Boyd Heritage Museum is filled with interesting facts and memorabilia from the early days in Bobcaygeon. Then check out the shops, restaurants, spas, and galleries on Bolton, King and Main Streets. Don’t forget that no visit to Bobcaygeon is complete without a trip to the famous Kawartha Dairy! I dare you to try and eat a large!
Evening Walks: take time to enjoy the Pleasant Point right-of-way along the entire waterfront. A great place to stroll and meet other cottagers.

A 50% deposit is due to confirm rental dates at time of booking (preferred method is Interac e-Transfer).
Outstanding balance + $500.00 damage deposit is due 28 days (4 weeks) prior to checking in.
The damage deposit will be returned to you by Interac e-Transfer upon check out or once the cottage and property have been inspected by the owner or his designate (within 7 business days)
