We offer five self-contained, off-grid (no power) cabins on legendary North Beach Haida Gwaii, within Naikoon Park. Each personality-infused cabin offers so much more than the ubiquitous light switch — including easy access to a phenomenal beach.
The cabins are designed for comfort within a wild setting. Each has it's own cooking facilities, hot shower, solar lamps, down bedding, woodstove (except the Octopus-gas wall heater), BBQ, and outhouse — don't worry these aren't your grandpa's outhouse. Just bring yourself and ice for the supplied cooler. Check-in at our home office, we're the house on the hill. The Sweetypie and Ravenshoe cabins sit on the beach with impressive views. The Frogmore, Whale House and Octopus are back from the beach, nestled in the dunes and calm when it's windy on the beach. Generally you can get cell phone reception on the beach at low-tide.

Activities Nearby
At low tide there are razor clams to dig by the bucketful all summer, and plenty of crabs to net. The beach is sand, and perfectly safe for kids as there are no currents or riptides. Bring your wet suits and gear or check out the local surf shop www.northbeachsurfshop.com. Because we are in the Pacific flyway for migrating birds, there are many species of shore and sea birds. The Island bird count is around 175 types, including the Sea Eagle. There are deer everywhere. Bears inhabit the island but not the beaches. Beach fires can be made at the tide line from driftwood. Wonderful sunsets and long twilight is the rule as the sun drops into the ocean.
