Natural landscaping and chock full of all the comforts of home, you will thoroughly enjoy the beauty and feeling of this cottage both inside and out. You arrive through the rear door mudroom, and enter into a 3 season room. Making your way along the corridor, you pass the main bath and bedroom, on through the kitchen into the main space – an open concept area with high ceilings and open loft room that sleeps 4. The original stone woodturning fireplace awaits, a cozy game night, and family fun! The property continues to shine, showcasing an incredible insulated sunroom that doubles as a bedroom, as well as a Guest Ice House with Glamp house for the unique pleasure of glamping even closer to the water’s edge.

The lake offers wonderful water time – directly in front of the cottage you can wade in which is great for children and seniors, go for deep water swimming in the main part of the lake, or just a few strokes further into Buckhorn Lake, great fishing, and perfect for paddling water craft. Gorgeous country comfort home and surroundings.

Some weeds – Although the Trent Severn is a weedy water zone, the weeds are controlled by using screens and constant maintenance. The waterfront is managed seasonally and the ability to utilize the water is vast. Our family utilizes the water front to wade and float, and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. When waterskiing and diving is preferred, the short kayak or boat ride to the deeper areas is recommended.

Private – there are neighbours/other cottagers on both sides, it is in the bay. The beauty of this location is there is a babbling brook that is lovely and peaceful one side, and much privacy and foliage on the other side.

Beautiful view – overlooks the bay, generally the quietest part of this big lake with mostly only cottagers, floating, swimming and or fishing on this waterfront.

Wood is available at 10$ per night fee. Notice is required so piles can be dropped off and prepared.

Activities Nearby

Trent Lakes boasts great boating and fishing. There is access to 5 lakes without going through any locks. Sandy Lake Beach is a short drive away and is excellent for children of all ages. There are numerous golf courses in the area.

Buckhorn and surrounding towns have many activities including fishing tournaments for kids and adults. For the days that you may not want to cook, Buckhorn offers a few places to eat in, or get takeout from the Cody Inn for some fantastic Chinese food. stop by the deer statue in Buckhorn where you will find a tourist center. Buckhorn has an LCBO, Foodland, variety store, Home Hardware, as well as a few shops and restaurants.

Bobcaygeon is very close and is known for the many “Bigley’s” shops, well known for their assortment of shoes and bathing suits.

Based on 8 people. $125/extra person. Maximum 16 people.

Rental rates include all booking fees and taxes, if applicable. Children under 1 year of age are free. If your weekly rental includes a statutory long weekend, the rental rate will be calculated as a combination of the Long Weekend Rate and the regular Weekly Rate.

Outstanding balance + $1500.00 damage deposit is due 28 days (4 weeks) prior to checking in.
The damage deposit will be returned to you by Interac e-Transfer upon check out or once the cottage and property have been inspected by the owner or his designate (within 7 business days).
