Welcome to all day sun and front row seats to the famous Bobcaygeon sunsets. This century home was recently restored and upgraded to provide the quintessential cottage experience along with modern, high-end amenities. Here you can relax both indoors and out with a custom, large outdoor dining table and comfortable lounging areas.Lounge on the spacious lakeside patio and dock while watching million dollar cruisers go by. One of the highlights includes a chef’s kitchen with antique cabinets and shelves thoughout, along with new stainless steel appliances and cookware. Dine indoors at the table for 6 or outdoors on the large wrap around deck with BBQ, and plenty of outdoor seating. This is one of the older homes in Bobcaygeon making it a very rare two story lake house featuring original hardwood floors and staircase as well as a fireplace and outdoor fire pit. Floor to ceiling windows offer spectacular views of the lake. Recline in the leather lounge chair while travelling back to the sounds of analog music from the large record collection. The owner is an interior designer and many of the things in this cottage are from his own interests including original oil paintings throughout of which many are for sale, vintage outboard motors, and furniture.

Just a 1.5 drive from Toronto and two minutes from the postcard town of Bobcaygeon, this cottage offers the perfect summer retreat. Artist-owned and professionally designed, there really is nothing else like Bobcaygeon Lake House.

House Rules & Cancellations

REQUIREMENT: Before accepting or sending an offer, we will request necessary personal & group information. With this information, a Cottage Rental Agreement (CRA) will be issued (containing property & booking details) that will need to be signed by all guests (age 18+) staying at the cottage. Please read below for a “sample" Cottage Rental Agreement + Liability Waiver.

Terms and Conditions
(Specific terms and conditions may vary according to each cottage)

Cottage Cleaning
Unless extra cleaning service is purchased and specified in your contract, the cottage must be left in the same condition as you found it, ready for the next visitors (specific details will be in the final Cottage Rental Agreement).

Garbage
All garbage and recycling disposal is the responsibility of the rental client. Garbage is to be placed in garbage bags/recycling boxes and stored safely so that animals cannot get into it. Information and location of the garbage dump specific to the cottage will be provided in the final Cottage Rental Agreement.

Water/Plumbing/Septic System
There are strict rules with regards to septic systems. Failure to follow these rules may result in thousands of dollars in repairs.
1. Only bodily waste materials and toilet paper can be flushed down the toilet. NO FEMININE/BABY PRODUCTS: TAMPONS, PADS, DIAPERS, WIPES.
2. Do not put any solid waste materials or grease down the sink drains.

As most cottages draw water from the lake and only some have water purification systems, you may wish to bring your own drinking water.

Camp/Cooking Fires
Small campfires are permitted as directed by the Ministry of Natural Resources. Please identify and adhere to local fire bans when imposed by local authorities (especially during dry/fire season). Do not burn plastic, tin cans, glass, or any other items that should not be in the fire. Always drown out your fire with plenty of water when left unattended, in particular before going to bed. For the use of firewood, there may be a charge from the owner, approx. $25.00 per cart/wheelbarrow.

No Extra Guests/Parties
If you plan on having any additional guests, you must request permission from the owner.

No Smoking
All of our cottages are Non Smoking of any kind in the interior (specific details will be in the final Cottage Rental Agreement).

Pets
If your pet has been approved by the cottage owner, you are solely responsible for its actions and whereabouts (specific details will be in the final Cottage Rental Agreement).

Damage Deposit
If there is any damage to the cottage the claim will be handled between the client and Airbnb.
If there are any noise complaints from the neighbours &/or if the Police are called to the cottage for any negative reason, the owner will have the right to hold back some or all of your damage deposit. Some of this money held back may or may not go to appease the neighbours who have been inconvenienced.

If we are unsuccessful in re-renting the cottage, all original funds (minus the $150.00 KCV Administration Fee) can be put forward to another cottage rental, at this same cottage, within 1 year (no later than 1 year of your original rental date), during the same season of the next year, of the original rental date (based on availability and at the advertised rates in existence at the time of rebooking).
All “extra persons fees” are non-refundable
