Cabot Shores Wilderness Resort & Retreat is located at the gateway of the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island. Beautiful wooden chalets with a perfect combination of rustic charm and modern conveniences. These are great for families and guests looking to move around in their own living-space. Nestled among the trees with a fantastic view of our lake, the Atlantic ocean and Bird Islands, Each furnished individually with a combination of Queen-sized day bed, doubles, single beds and pull-outs as well as two full bathrooms. These four pet friendly chalets can accommodate 2 to 8 people and are available year-round.

Exterior

The chalets are accessible by a separate driveway with the lodge, beach and other amenities just a few minutes away by foot. The Tan Chalet is wheelchair accessible, barrier free with ramps, in addition to having a wheelchair accessible shower.

The Chalets are all 100% non-smoking and open spring, summer, fall and winter. Each chalet has their own fire-pit and private terrace. Coin operated laundry facilities and wireless internet can be accessed in the main lodge.

House Rules & Cancellations

A 50% deposit ahead of time to hold your requested accommodations. We are also required to charge 15% harmonized sales tax.

Cancellations are required 28 days in advance or initial deposit is retained with the option to apply it to another reservation in the next 12 months. A $50 fee will be charged for cancellations made with 28 days advanced notice. Cancellation on your day of arrival, leaving before reservation has expired or arriving late will result in the entire fee being forfeited. We are not responsible for weather conditions.

We are a pet friendly establishment with a maximum of 3 dogs per accommodation unless special arrangements have been made. The fee is $10 per day, per dog. There is a small selection of accommodations which are not pet friendly for those with allergies.

Please note that smoking is not permitted inside Lodge or accommodations according to Canadian law. There is a $200 room recovery fee for smoking inside any accommodation.

PET POLICY:
There is a maximum of 3 dogs per accommodation unless special arrangements have been made. The fee is $10 per day, per dog.
Pets must be on a leash in the general vicinity of Cabot Shores. Please supervise your dogs at accommodations, campsites or on our trails as all our guests may have varying levels of comfort around dogs. Dogs are not allowed in our Bistro / main room of the lodge.
We would appreciate if guests kept their pets off of furniture and beds.
Please pick up after your dog! Poop bags available at reception.
Pet owners will be held responsible and a recovery fee will be applied if any damage is caused by their pets.
