Captiva Sun & Moon House

The Sun & Moon is a newer house with a private screened and 33 foot long heated pool. Located on Wightman Lane, it has easy access from our sand covered, private lane to the beach. It’s only a 2 minute walk to the best restaurants in Captiva’s village. This 3 bedroom, 3 bath house is perfect for a large family or 2 or even 3 couples. Equipped with more amenities than you’d expect, it sleeps up to 8 guests.

Our private, screened 30-foot long pool is heated year round to a comfortable 85 degrees. Depth is 5.5 feet in the center and 3.5 feet at each end. The pool deck is totally furnished for sunning, dining or relaxing. Pool and beach toys, as well as beach towels, umbrellas and chairs are provided. The living room is surrounded on three sides with glass and a sliding glass door opens as a veranda over our pool. A 32" Sony cable TV with VCR and DVD adds to your enjoyment, along with an Onkyo Stereo with a 6-disc CD changer and Infinity speakers. Enjoy our eclectic CD music collection, and a large DVD and VCR selection is available for loan at the Captiva Library, just a 5 minute walk from the house. Our kitchen is fully equipped for the needs of a family with children, two or even three couples. Dining area choices include a separate dining room off the living room, the sun & moon deck, or the poolside table, near our Weber gas grill. Your master bedroom on the second floor has a king size bed and a remote cable TV with VCR and a master bath in the suite. You'll have private access to our secluded sun & moon deck that's totally furnished for enjoyment any time of the day or night. The first floor bedroom has a queen size bed, cable TV, and it's own full bath. It's a great room for the nanny, the grandparents, or another couple. This area is separated from the main living area for privacy. An additional second floor bedroom has two twin beds, a cable TV, and it's own full bath inside the bedroom for privacy. It also has access to the sun & moon deck from the hallway. Full laundry facilities are also on this floor. The house has central air conditioning for the summer months. Open the windows and turn on the ceiling fans to make the fall, winter and spring quite comfortable. A cordless phone with answering machine, fax machine and modem connection is also provided. Yes, there is cell phone reception on the Island. Leave the car in our garage, as you're only a 2-minute walk to the wonderful local restaurants and shops in Captiva's "island style" village. Enjoy the extensive bike paths on Captiva and Sanibel with our new men's and ladies' 7-speed aluminum bicycles. Children's rental bikes and helmets can be delivered to your door. Golf is available at two 18-hole courses just 20 minutes away on nearby Sanibel Island.

On Captiva you’ll enjoy nature, sunset or lunch cruises to other Islands, like Cabbage Key or Useppa. Enjoy fishing or pleasure boat rentals at Jensen’s Marina, and sailing lessons and charters at New Moon Sailing. Though men’s and ladies’ bikes are provided at our homes, visit Billy’s Rentals for on-line ordering of additional bikes, children’s bikes or trailers, and even moped rentals. Billy’s also rents kayaks, sunfish and windsurfers, all with deliveries to our houses. Also available in Captiva’s charming village are parasailing, golf carts, in-line skates and JetSki rentals. Many wonderful Island restaurants, some with live entertainment and dancing nightly, as well as the marvelous Jungle Drums Gallery and other island theme shops are within a 5-minute walk from all our homes. Golf is available at your choice of two 18-hole courses, the Dunes and Beachview, just 20 minutes away on nearby Sanibel Island. Use our bicycles for added enjoyment of Captiva and Sanibel’s extensive bike paths. You can even bike or drive through the Ding Darling Nature Preserve, a must see for wild life viewing. Shelling is wonderful on our islands, so there’s even the Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum to visit, and it’s popular for all ages. You may wish to visit Sanibel’s BigArts Performing Arts Center for concerts and stage performances. In Ft. Myers is the Edison & Ford Estates offering a look at their fabulous winter homes and botanical gardens.

The payment balance is due 60 days prior to scheduled arrival. Final payment may be by credit card, check, or money order. 11% Florida state and hotel tax is applicable. Cancellation allowed up to 60 days prior to scheduled arrival with full advance payment refund.
